Comedians aren't generally known for their chiselled looks and toned bodies.

But it appears American funnyman Dane Cook is breaking the mould as he displayed his impressive physique on holiday.

The Good Luck Chuck star, 39, showed off the results of his gym sessions as he frolicked in the Pacific with his mystery brunette girlfriend.

As a stand-up comedian-turned-actor, fans are used to seeing Cook fully-clothed.

But as he peeled off for a day on the beach, it looks like he may be winning over some new female fans.

Followers of his Twitter page will know the comedian works on his fitness, regularly visiting the gym and going for runs in the canyons of Los Angeles.

While Cook has been opened about his keep-fit regime, he is yet to divulge who he is dating.

Earlier this month, he teased: 'I think I'm in love for the first time in a long time.'

But the couple certainly seemed to be into each other as they kissed and cuddled in the surf.

Ahead of his trip to Hawaii, he tweeted: 'It's official. For the 1st time in 2 years I'm on vacation. Twittering from one of the most beautiful spots on the planet. Thankful.'

After years on the stand-up circuit, Cook landed his first big film role in Employee Of The Month in 2006.

It was there he starred alongside Jessica Simpson, who he was also romantically linked to at the time.

They remain good friends and Simpson was spotted attending one of Cook's comedy gigs earlier this year.

When she announced her engagement to Eric Johnson, Cook said: 'Jessica's a great friend of mine and I'm so happy for her! She's an incredible person and that's great, great news for her. I send out a big well wish to "Special J" as we lovingly call her.'

Cook also dated dancer/actress Julianne Hough before she met current beau Ryan Seacrest.

The couple first began dating in 2007, and became engaged a year later, but they’ve weathered several breakups and makeups since then.


The couple called off their engagement in August last year.


It came as reports emerged that the two actors were taking a break earlier in the year.


A representative for Bilson, who starred in The O.C., told People magazine: ’Yes, the engagement is off.

Work commitments meant the couple had been living separate lives, with Rachel based in Los Angeles, while Hayden was in Canada.


The distance between them was one of the main reasons for the split, a friend said.


’It just wasn’t working out,’ the friend told People, adding that Bilson was ’focusing on her career, spending time with her family and just moving forward.’


But three months later in November 2010, it appeared that the couple couldn’t bear to be apart and reportedly started dating again.

Since leaving the show she has moved into film, and was seen earlier this year in Waiting For Forever opposite Tom Sturridge.
